Angeles Torres Sinense
Born to life on August 30, 1930 and Entered into Eternal Life on December 14, 2021. Loving mother of Ricardo (Jane) and David (Sara). Proud grandmother to David Jr., Benjamin, Lauren and Christian. Aunt to Roger Torres, MD (Sandra) and Mario Bautista (Ruby). Great-Aunt to Regine Torres, DDS and Mark and Claudia Bautista. Angie was the fifth child of six siblings and grew up in the city of Pototan, Iloilo province in the Philippines. After graduating from the Philippine Women’s University in Manila, Angie attended Southern Illinois University- Carbondale and received two master’s degrees. From there, she moved to Milwaukee. As a home economics teacher and guidance counselor in the Milwaukee Public Schools, Angie touched many young people’s lives. Music was a big part of her life. She enjoyed singing in various choirs and sharing her love of music with her two boys. Angie was very involved with the many charitable Filipino organizations over the years. During retirement, she was a member of the choir at Holy Apostles Parish and volunteered at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital. Always eager to learn, Angie was a world traveler and experienced many trips over the years touring China, Peru, Africa, Russia and many countries in Europe. Angie’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow up.
