Shirley Elaine Merz

Born to Life September 1, 1934, the daughter of Edward and Gladys Sandmire Schricker; Born to Eternal Life and reunited with her beloved husband Richard J. Merz who preceded her in death on July 2, 2018, at Virginia Highlands in Germantown, Wisconsin. Shirley was the loving mother of Steven Merz, Linda (Tom) Fliss, Edward (Amanda) Merz and Joseph Merz and the proud grandmother of Jacob (Crystle) and Kyle (Samantha) Fliss. She was also the cherished great-grandmother of Alexandria and Bryce Fliss, and the special step-grandmother of Joshua and Justin Wrezinski. Shirley is one of 6 children and is survived by her three sisters, Beverly, Alvina and Joan and preceded in death by her two brothers Ronald and Donald, in addition to being survived by many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held for Shirley on Monday, July 9, 2018, from 10:00 in the morning until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 in the morning, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church, N89 W16297 Cleveland Avenue, Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Burial next to her husband Richard will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin following the Mass. A reception will follow the burial at the church hall.

Shirley will be truly missed by all who remember her kind, loving heart.
