Raymond E. Connelly Jr. & Suzanne B. (nee Sedgwick) Connelly

Raymond "Ray" passed away unexpectedly in Sacramento, California on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at the age of 75 years. Nine days later, Ray's companion in life, Suzanne "Suzie" passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, also at the age of 75 years. Ray and Suzanne were the loving parents of Sean (Janel) Connelly, Brian (Martha) Connelly, Kevin (Michelle) Connelly, Bridget Connelly, Daniel Connelly and Erin (Steven) Marsala and the proud grandparents of nine cherished grandchildren. They are further survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

Ray and Suzanne had known each other since childhood and began their lives together in 8th grade. Both attended and graduated from Shorewood High School in 1960. Ray went on to graduate from Marquette University and the two married on May 15, 1965. A focus on family, education and community were important to Ray and Suzanne as they raised their family. They were very active members of Holy Family Parish & School in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, where they coached countless teams, were members of the Parish Council and chaired many committees. After retiring to Sacramento, California in 2005, Ray and Suzanne continued to focus on education and community by volunteering at Cristo Rey School in Sacramento, California.

Ray and Suzanne will be greatly missed, but will remain forever in our hearts. A combined memorial gathering will be held for Ray and Suzanne on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 12:00 Noon until the time of the Memorial Mass at 1:00pm, all at Holy Family Parish Church, 4825 North Wildwood Avenue, Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin 53217. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please consider donations in Ray and Suzanne's name to Cristo Rey High School, 8475 Jackson Road, Sacramento, California 95826.
