Mary Rosare Steppe

(nee Bonerz) Born to Eternal Life on February 28, 2018. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Steppe. She was the loving mother of Laure (James) Barr, James (Sharon) Steppe, Jeffry Steppe and Jon (Ami) Steppe, and the cherished grandmother of  Jesse (Laura), Timothy (Keri), Julie, Jennifer (Noah) Ball, Joshua (Charissa), Jacob (Lisa), Jonny, Aaron, Caylen Rye, Rachel, Paige, Jessica (Eric) Dombeck, Nicole Harmeyer, Allison Harmeyer, Mike Harmeyer, Alex Lueddecke, Tessa Lueddecke and Lara Lueddecke. Mary is further survived by 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mary enjoyed her work as executive director of Project R.E.T.U.R.N. and as a volunteer at St. Pius X Church. She also coordinated several Alzheimer's Memory Walks and served in many capacities with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, including as regional vice-president.   

A Memorial Gathering will be held for Mary on Monday, March 5, 2018, from 9:30am until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00am, all at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12130 West Center Street, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Private entombment Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society (9601 West Silver Spring Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53225), Project R.E.T.U.R.N. (2831 North 4th Street #223, Milwaukee, WI 53212) or the Alzheimer's Memory Walk (620 South 76th Street #160, Milwaukee, WI 53214) requested by the family.
