Mary Theresa (Martinich) Jelacic

Entered to eternal life on November 14, 2019 at the age of 92.

Mary is on her way to meet our Heavenly Father, waiting with open arms. She will reunite with husband John J Jelacic Jr, her Pa and Ma (Louis and Mary Martinich), in-laws John and Anna Jelacic, brother Louie, beloved sisters-in-law Evelyn, Irene, Glenda, cousin Teresa, and so many more family and friends waiting to embrace her.

She is survived by her beloved siblings, Frank (Betty) Martinich, Anton Martinich, Helen Bahr and sister-in law Loretta Martinich.

Mary was blessed with a large family of six children, Darlene (Henry) Majerus, Kristine (Donald) Stephenson, Deborah Jelacic, John (Sandra) Jelacic, Kenneth Jelacic, Mary Ann (Thomas) Anderson.

She adored her twelve Grandchildren, Henry (Julie) Majerus, April (Chris) Eckley, Sandra (Allen) Mitchell, Scott (Heather) Alberti, Gregory Stephenson, Michael (Jenn) Alberti, John IV (Tera) Jelacic, Christine (Justin) Kreger, Michael (Katie) Jelacic, Angela (Ross) Kuehl, Brian (Briar) Anderson and Kenneth Jr, USAF.

Sixteen loving Great-Grandchildren, Madison, Amanda, Declan, Tyler, Ryan, Sarah, Jaden, Dylan, Kayden, Kyle, Elizabeth, Roman, Katherine, Jackson, Alivia, and Eleanor.

One great-great granddaughter Reylin, and an expected great-great-granddaughter (Feb 2020).

Mary loved visiting and celebrating with her family, sister Helen, cousins Stephie, Frank and Ray Zagar, friend Helen Grivetz, friends at Washington Heights and Vista Pointe.  Mary's best meals included, chicken, shrimp, and cheesecake with maraschino cherries. She loved playing bingo, often winning the grand prize. Completing the daily Journal crossword puzzle in pen was a must.  She used her Journal TV guide daily to find her favorite programs (Watching Days Of Our Lives, Golden Girls, Jeopardy, Wheel Of Fortune), and late-night vintage movies. She was thrilled to win the grand-prize in the family Packers pool this past season. 

Visitation Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 12130 West Center Street, Wauwatosa from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon.  Entombment to follow Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery.

A special thank you from the family to all doctors, nurses, assisted living and hospice staff who cared for our mother Mary this past year. We are grateful for every one of you.
