Mary "Janet" Bursek

Born to eternal life on October 31, 2017, at the age of 97 years. Janet grew up in Maple Grove, Wisconsin, the eldest of nine children of Thomas and Bernice (nee Engels) Watt. The family later moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she graduated from Messmer High School. Janet married John Bursek in 1944 and together they raised four children: the late Tom, Jon (Eleanor), the late Mike and Mary (George). She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John on October 14, 2012.

An accomplished cook, gardener and crafter, Janet will be greatly missed by her loving children and their spouses; her cherished grandchildren, Bob, Shellie, Lisa, Rich, Grant and Jenny; her dear great-grandchildren, Dustin, Hayden, Cecilia, Arabella and Anthony; she fond surviving sisters, Phyllis, Alyce, Helen and Lois; and many friends.

Visitation will be held for Janet on Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 9:30am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, all at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 12801 West Fairmount Avenue, Butler, Wisconsin. Entombment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
