Gregory Robert Abshire

Greg, age 62, died peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2019, in Milwaukee, WI.  He was born on April 4, 1957 in Evanston, Il and graduated from Niles West High School in Skokie, IL.  Greg was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan, an avid runner and worked professionally for many years in the restaurant business.  In 2017, he moved to Sedona, AZ as a manager-owner of Rene at Tlaquepaque.  He remained in Arizona until October 2018 when he relocated to Milwaukee, WI to undergo treatment for metastatic esophageal cancer.

He is survived by his two daughters: Cecelia Frelich (Joshua) and Ann Margaret; ex-wife, Pam Krause; mother, Lu Abshire; brother, Tom (Diane); niece and nephews: Jonathan (Jennifer), Erin Wills (Ben), and Matthew (Drea).  Greg is preceded in death by his father, Jack.

A reception will be held on Saturday July 27, at 2:00 PM in the Faith and Education Center at Luther Manor, 4545 N. 92nd Street, Wauwatosa, WI, followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM at the same location.  Burial will take place on Sunday July 28, at 1:00 PM at Little Sister Cemetery, Sister Bay, WI.
