Elisha Brown, Jr.

Age 79 years, passed away November 2, 2017, at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of his life.

Elisha was born June 28, 1938 in Turrell, Arkansas, the son of the late Elisha Brown, Sr. and Ora Cody Long. He moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he worked in the construction field as a mason.

In December of 1997, Elisha had a heart transplant. It was mentioned by many physicians how rare it was to survive just short of 20 years with a transplanted heart.

He enjoyed working hard, road trips to Arkansas to visit family, and fishing. His infectious laugh and beaming smile will be missed by all.

Elisha is survived by his children, Evelyn Brown, Randy Brown, Belinda Jackson, Sherita Brazil-Kostuck, Antone Brazil, Craig Whitten, Melanie Ketter, Tabitha Bovia, Stan Brown and Tyrone Brown.

He is also survived by his siblings, Estell Brown Jr., Lucille Bell, E. L. Brown, Arizona Brown Moore, Dora Lee Sorenson, George Brown, Richard Brown, Sheila Reese and James Brown; in addition to numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held for Elisha on Saturday, November 11, 2017, from 10:00 AM until the Time of Remembrance service at 12:00 Noon, all at Jelacic Funeral Home, Inc., 5639 West Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
