Dorothy Mae Cira
Born to life May 10, 1931 in Burlington, Wisconsin the daughter of James Hegeman and Emma Kleinvehan Hegeman. Born to eternal life January 26, 2018 at her Milwaukee residence surrounded by her loving family at the age of 86 years 8 months and 16 days. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband James of 59 years. Beloved mother of Deborah (Terry) McCormack, Jacqueline (Tom) Marquardt, Steven and Charles Cira. Dear grandma to Melissa (Adam) Roskopf and Austin Marquardt. Loving great grandma to Trystan and Cole Roskopf. Sister of Millie Casey and Blanche (Donald) Schoenhaar. Sister in law of Joseph (Joan) Cira. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dorothy graduated from St. Mary's High School in Burlington, Wisconsin in 1949. After high school, Dorothy moved to Milwaukee and worked at First Wisconsin National Bank. She married the love of her life, James Cira on September 6, 1958. They settled down in Milwaukee to live and raise their growing family. In the early years of marriage, Dorothy was busy raising her family. She later enjoyed working at Gimbels, Coplan's Appliance Center and a dry cleaners.
Visitation Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Blessed Savior Catholic Church, 8545 West Villard Avenue from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment, Holy Cross Cemetery after the Mass.
